Menu Plan Monday

I haven’t done this in ages but I’m trying to avoid that whole “what do you want for supper?” “I don’t know, what do YOU want for supper?” conversation. Here’s the basic idea for this week’s menu.

Monday: Super easy and very tasty Beef & Black Bean Burritos with salad
Tuesday: Grilled Chicken Tournedos with corn on the cob and rice
Wednesday: Grilled burgers and salad
Thursday: Grilled Pork souvlaki with salad and/or corn on the cob
Friday: BBQ rotisserie chicken with fries, macaroni salad, and vegetables
Saturday: Still undecided
Sunday: Still undecided

Lots of grilling going on there. But it’s just so convenient.

What’s on your menu?

Monday: leftover meat pie with rissotto and fresh green beans
    Tuesday: repeat Monday
Wednesday: repeat Monday and Tuesday, though probably mashed potatoes instead of rissotto as I’ll be out of the latter (exciting!)
    Thursday: soup and tuna sandwich
Friday: frozen pizza (cooked, mind you, heh)

MAN. Suppers are boring when you’re by yourself!!

What’s on my menu? I’ll just pop over to your place. Sounds good. Well, I guess a couple thousand miles will keep that from happening.
One of my “quick and dirty” dinners is to stop by a store that sells cuts of meat or fish by the individual piece and a vegetable or two. I set the oven to medium while cubing the vegetables. Then spray a heavy-duty cookie sheet with Pam (or similar product) put the meat in the middle and surround with the vegetables, season and bake for about 10-15 minutes. Flip the meat, stir the vegetables and bake for another 10-15 minutes. If fish, reduce the time so the end product is flaky but start the vegetables 10 minutes early by themselves. It isn’t gourmet but it tastes really good.

Doh, forgot our Work Menu’s are in Dutch, got to translate them.

Monday: Cordon Bleu with Archiduc Sauce, Beans and Potato Waffles
Tuesday: Liegois Meat balls with leek mash (Note to self: skipping this one)
Wednesday: Marinated Chicken Filet with grilled veggies, oriental sauce and rice
Thursday: Farmers Brochet, baked Carrots and potatoes
Friday: Fish Brochet, tartar sauce, summer salad and mashed potatoes.

I’ll probably take the steak on Tuesday, which has mushroom sauce this week, or this weeks suggestion dish, which is a bacon omelette.
